Study, study, walk, walk

This seems to be what my life has been reduced to recently. I have my first patho exam next week so I have been reading, trying to understand foreign concepts and actually retain some information. My 33 year old brain is RUSTY to say the least. I need some sort of material understanding and retaining pill. Is there one out there???? So, since I don't have a job I am trying to make school my full time job and be on top of my assignments. I am that older student who is obsessive. THe only difference is that I don't feel the need to ask time consuming and silly questions in class.

The dogs. THey are well. We have our first vet appointment tomorrow morning, first thing! Now, I know when I say that people automatically think that something has gone wrong and normally that might be the situation but it is just a routine appointment for yearly vaccines and to get established.... in case of an emergency. Interesting that I am getting the dogs set up with medical care before myself. I guess I just have faith that I have more of a chance of health then they do:) But seriously, we are adjusting to limited freedom and lots of leash walking. I am finding that daily trips to the dog park are very helpful for all three of us. Today we did not go and I am paying the price a bit....Grady is just like one ball of tightly wound energy. He needs his play time!

Friday, the dogs are going have an interview at a boarding/doggie day care facility. Camp BowWow. The interview is to establish that my dogs get along with other dogs. They get interviewed with a dog of similar size and sex. Then they, the 4 dogs are let into the yard and slowly other dogs are let in the yard one at a time to see how mine react and play. They have to stay for a minimum of 3 hours but can stay for up to 6. Not that I plan on sending them to day care or board them any time soon, but I want to have systems in place for when the time arises. I also have the feeling life might get crazy if I get a job and day care might be helpful for Grady. I'll keep you posted. It's such a big week for the dogs!

My dear friend Heather is coming for a visit in less then 2 weeks! How exciting! For now that is about it. It's back to cells and inflammation and GI issues and fever set point.

I would say that unless you decide to start ingesting whole bottles of Advil in the near future, you DO have a better chance of health than the fur kids! Don't worry about you, just get them set up. SILLY! It was great to hear your voice. I hope to honestly keep in touch. Shoot me an e-mail with your contact info. when you get a chance. XXOO- Lisa
