Wednesday night

Hi, My name is Liz Skoglund and I am an addict...

I am addicted to projects and my current one involves lots of flowers, a huge landscaping project for the front of house and staining a fence. This year the colors for my annuals consists of deep purples to blues with some whites mixed in. I was inspired by the White Flower Farm catalogue that I received a few weeks ago. After several weeks of pouring over the beautiful pictures of gorgeous flowers I made my decision. Last year it was pink and happy. This summer it is purple and bold. I am excited. I ordered some flowers for my pots and today I got all my pots out of the garage and placed in my gardens in the back, at least for now. All things are subject to change once I get the plants and plant them. I have to say that this time of year is very refreshing and encouraging. Being able to be outside and doing projects with my own hands mixed in with a bit of sweat is so rewarding.
If my container gardens look half as good as these I will be immensely pleased at the end of the season. I'll keep you posted.

What has been going on???

It has been a very long time! I am sitting in my bed, it is about 10:30 on a Wednesday night watching FoxNews. I don't usually watch On the Record but it is serving as sort of background noise at the moment.

It has been a bit of a busy week so far. Monday and Tuesday I was up at 0450 am to get ready to head out to work. For those who know me well, that was a bit of a challenge. But honestly, once I was up, it was not so bad. Today though, I think I went to bed last night and didn't move a muscle for the majority of the night. I think the key is going to bed early the night before. That helps immensely.

Today I was able to catch a little news, grab a cup of coffee and head out to my dad's office to work for him a bit. I went off to Walmart to shop, made some chili, planted lots of seeds and pansies went for a run with Grady and cleaned the upstairs bathroom. If I could just develop a consistent schedule for cleaning, life might be a bit easier. Oh well.

This is really boring. I thought if I just started writing again, I might come up with something interesting to talk about. Oh well, I'll try again soon.
